Regular full –time associates are eligible to enroll in the following healthcare benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment:

Flexible Spending Account / Medical and Dependent Care
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an important part of your overall benefits package. Through the plan, you can set aside a portion of your earnings pre-tax for everyday expenses you may have with:

  • Dependent day care expenses    
  • Out-of pocket medical expenses including medical, dental, vision, over-the counter medications, and prescriptions drug expenses

 

Retirement Plan
A 401(k) savings and retirement plan is designed to help you save for your retirement and at the same time reduce your current taxable income. Retirement savings is made easy through automatic payroll deductions into the investment option(s) of your choice.  All associates who have completed six months of service with the bank are eligible to participate. 

  • Employee pre-tax contributions of annual earnings may be made, subject to the annual dollar limits set by the IRS
  • Optional Roth 401(k) contributions can also be made post-tax
  • Great Florida Bank will match 50% of the associate’s contribution up to 6% salary deferral.

Time away from work
All regular, full-time associates are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off on an annual basis, four (4) Sick Days and one (1) Personal Day per calendar year; accrual is subject to the policy provisions. 

Holidays
The bank is normally closed for most legal holidays as approved by the Federal Reserve.  The exact dates of these holidays will posted in advance each year. 

Holidays that may be observed include:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin’s Luther King Day
  • Presidents’ Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day

  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans’ Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

 

Education and Tuition Reimbursement
Regular full-time associates that have completed 12 months of service may be eligible for tuition assistance for work-related or a required course towards a job-specific degree taken through a community college or university.

Associates are provided by policy with the opportunity to open a Great Team checking account and a savings account without any monthly service charges or minimum balance requirements. Associates will not be charged for incoming or outgoing wire transfers, stop payments or check orders plus other great features such as:

Employee Referral Program
Experience has proven that our own employees are often one of the best recruiting sources available for filling job openings with qualified applicants. Therefore, in an effort to fully utilize this resource and reward employees for their assistance in our recruitment effort, Great Florida Bank pays $500.00 for each referred applicant after he/she has completed the first 90 days of employment.
